Anew Day’s Counseling Skills Workshop

...is more than an introductory class. Its curriculum instructs on:

• Essential characteristics of an effective counselor.
• Connection, communication and helping applications.
• Client concerns such as relationships, boundaries, anxieties, crisis, addictions, grief, abuse and personality disorders.
• Integration of Christian view; triadic healing encounter and biblical guidance.
• Ethics—we abide by the Code of Ethics of the American Association of Christian Counselors.

Our workshop is Basic Training for Anew Day’s volunteer lay counseling staff. Counseling training is also one of the services we provide to our Nevada County community. If you currently have, or during the sessions develop an interest, we invite you to prayerfully consider joining us in Anew Day’s growing outreach as one of our lay counselors after you’ve completed the workshop.

Workshop cost: $150 up front or (3) payments of $50  Space is limited. You can reserve your place by signing up early.
