March 31, 2023

There are a lot of changes coming to Anew Day for which we need God's provision and guidance. Because of this, we are coming together as a ministry for a 12 hour prayer day on March 31, 2023.

"This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us. And if we know that he hears us—whatever we ask—we know that we have what we asked of him."  1 John 5:15-15
Let us pray together for Anew Day!

Praise God from whom all Blessings flow.
• Read Psalm 145 & 146

Praise God for specific answers to prayer:
Our Ministry Growth

  • Our free lay counseling ministry is thriving. We have 25 lay counselors currently seeing clients and our group meeting room is packed for supervision. We need a bigger meeting room :-)

  • We have 7 professional counselors currently seeing clients, which is more than we’ve ever had.

  • The increased number of counselors serving is helping us meet the increased requests for service.

  • Our 3-4 month waitlists are down to 1-2 weeks (with the exception of male lay counseling which is longer)

Provision for Physical Growth

  • A local building owner is willing to be very generous in renting us space at a dramatically reduced rate.

  • A generous individual left Anew Day money in his estate to make a move possible.

  • The former tenant of the potential new space is donating thousands of dollars of office equipment for our ministry.

  • This new space will not only have more counseling rooms and a much larger meeting room, but the interior will also be designed to meet our specific needs – including sound mitigation, a smoother flow of space and better security.

Perfect Timing Indicating God’s Guidance

  • Details are all converging in perfect time. Need, provision, opportunity, vision, and faith are propelling us toward a move. When we see God working in these areas, it is an indicator that He is preparing and providing for change. That said, we only want to move if it is the best decision for us right now.

Recognize Almighty God as Our Source of Help in Times of Need:

  • "l lift up my eyes to the mountains— where does my help come from? My help comes from the LORD, the Maker of heaven and earth."  Psalm 121:1-2

  • "Humble yourselves, therefore, under God's mighty hand, that he may lift you up in due time. Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you."  1 Peter 5:6-7

  • "The Lord is my shepherd…"  Psalm 23

  • "So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand."  Isaiah 41:1-10

  • "For I am the LORD your God who takes hold of your right hand and says to you, do not fear; I will help you."  Isaiah 41:13

  • "Let us then approach God's throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need."  Hebrews 4:16

  • Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus."  Philippians 4:6

Personnel Needs – Clinical Division Leadership

  • Pray for wisdom in how to promote the Clinical Director opening so that many qualified people become aware of the position.

  • Pray for God to move in the heart of the right person/s to apply for this open position.

  • Pray for wisdom to know how best to fill our leadership needs – with one full-time or two part-time clinical directors.

  • Pray for God to bring us only Clinical directors who fit our organization well - people who love our mission, our vision, our purpose, our Lord Jesus and who have great compassion for others.

  • Pray that the new Clinical director/s work well with staff and do their part to facilitate a loving family-like atmosphere.

  • Pray that the new Clinical Director/s will understand the great value and significance of teaching/training counselors to do their work with compassion and excellence.

  • Pray for God’s blessing and peace to be upon Keith as he continues to provide clinical leadership and supervision till a new director can be found.

Growth Needs – Anew Day is seriously considering a move to increase our space.

  • Pray that if this move is not right for us now, our Board will be unanimous in the decision not to proceed. As Moses said in Exodus 33:25 “If your Presence [God] does not go with us, do not send us up from here.”

  • Pray that if this move is right, our Board would be unanimous in the decision to sign a new lease and begin the process of moving.

  • Pray that God will directs Anew Day leadership in these big decisions. "Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight."  Proverbs 3:5-6

  • Pray for a successful BBQ fundraiser this summer and that we gain new supporters.

  • Pray that God provides the income needed to pay the increased operating expenses through monthly/recurring donations.

"And God is able to bless you abundantly so that in all things at all times, having all
that you need, you will abound in every good work."
 2 Corinthians 9:8

"And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of His glory in Christ
  Philippians 4:19

Thank you for joining with others to pray for Anew Day.
