Associates are registered with the State of California and are overseen by licensed Marriage and Family Therapists.

  • What is the process for me to get counseling at Anew Day?

    • When you call or come in you will be asked to fill out an intake form which will provide basic information that can be used to contact you when an appointment is available.

  • How long will it take for me to start my counseling?

    • If you are in a crisis situation we will make every effort to have you seen the same day that you call. From time to time, we have a wait list. However, the wait list is reviewed continually and as a counselor has an appointment time open up, they will begin calling those on the wait list. Currently, we offer support groups for women, and men that you are welcome to attend. The office staff will also suggest other options that might interest you while you are waiting to be seen.

  • How long are the sessions?

    • Sessions typically last 50 minutes.

  • Do you have evening and weekend sessions available?

    • Yes, we do have limited evening session times available. However, we currently do not have any weekend offerings.

  • How long will my counseling last in order for my problem to be resolved?

    • Your therapist or counselor will work with you until either you or they feel that you are ready to move forward. In some situations only a couple of session might be needed, others may require a longer period. We value the client/counselor relationship and the timing is discussed and decided together.

  • I have some pretty disturbing things happening in my life. What kinds of problems can Anew Day counselors help with?

    • Our lay counselors have varied backgrounds and continually are being trained in different areas. They have seen it all! However if you have an issue that they feel needs more in depth counsel they will provide you with a referral list of professional therapists who would be more able to help you.
