Anew Day's Legacy

Anew Day officially began in 2006. At the time, it consisted of three board members, a handful of volunteers, one therapist, an idea and a desire to make an impact on a hurting community. The commitment and faith of Anew Day’s early founders has led to an incredible impact on the community. And we know that God has not finished writing the story of Anew Day. As we celebrate twenty years of healing, we look forward with anticipation to the ways we will continue to grow, serve and bring hope and healing to our community in the coming years.

"The legacy is already being written. From the moment we opened the doors to our community, my mindset was 'If one life is saved.' We recognized God's faithfulness to His calling, to this ministry in our community. That was the heartbeat behind it. One life, one appointment at a time."

~ Joy Porter (Prior Board Member & Executive Director)

"I hope that the community will be aware of this ministry and the positive impact it has, but also that the individual clients take what they’ve learned and use it in their daily lives. This ministry has lasted and that means something."

~ Betty (Lay Counselor)

"I hope they think of Anew Day as a supportive, kind, generous, loving, helpful place for people to go."

~ Hlynn (Lay Counselor)

"I hope they know the story of the beginning. All the struggles that we faced and the perseverance and needing to trust in God. God was always there leading us and He helped it to grow. Anew Day helps people to have the courage to stand up and say 'help.'"

~ Mike Bratton (Board President)

"I hope people remember that Anew Day has helped a lot of people to have a better life who otherwise wouldn’t know that they had the ability to choose something different."

~ Judy (Lay Counselor)

"I hope people remember that we stayed the course. We haven't deviated from our original mission which tells me that we are meeting a need and meeting it well."

~ Deena (Lay Counselor)
