Welcome to Anew Day's 8th Annual
Random Acts of kindness (RAKE) EVENT
Ready to spend a few hours of your time participating in the
Random Acts of Kindness Event?
What makes any community a place you want to live and call your own?
It’s not the shops, the amenities, the road conditions, the schools, or the houses that really make a community great, it’s the people. The people own the shops, elect the leaders, staff the schools and build the houses. A great community is a place where the people are wise, kind, generous and give of themselves to invest in the well being of the whole. This is why I love the RAKE event. It brings out the best in our community. RAKE is a community-wide organized service project. It’s an event where individuals join together in hard work to maintain the spaces they enjoy together. It’s an event where community members help other community members take care of needs.

Last year over 300 people of all ages dawned the yellow RAKE shirt signifying that they were all part of the same project, though spread all over the county. Fathers, mothers, children, co-workers, sports teams, school clubs and social groups worked together to show their love for one another and the community they call home. This year will you join the movement?
